guilt post

some one asked me today why i didn't post again making everyone choose my college for me. i think it's because i know what's gonna happen, but i just don't want to hear it.

i have a giant nitty-gritty chart, but my logic so far boils down to:

wash u:
pro - bigger university means more options for classes, activities, food, almost everything. linguistics. drama major can focus in acting. awesome radio station. chance to meet people different from me and whom i know. campus is centralized and gorgeous. will stand out for having cool clothes and being from ny. the food kicks ass. cj and alex go there.
con - bigger university means bigger freshman classes. frats not eclectic. not as hip/politically active/badass as wesleyan. cj goes there.

wesleyan:
pro - smaller university means smaller classes. college of letters. everyone is hipster and damn fine looking. everyone is into politics and indie-music. eclectic. campus is quirky. i'll loose weight (because the food is shitty). martha and laura go there.
con - smaller university means less variety with courses and within a major. no linguistics. drama major has no focus in acting. less-awesome radio station. everyone is sorta the same (pretentious?). campus is random and scattered. will not stand out. the food is shitty. benjie goes there.

i have until the 31.

so, there. now it's your turn: if you read this, you must tell me where to go with some reasoning. good luck.

Came across your blog and oddly enough I graduated from Wash U almost 20 years ago. I absolutely loved it there, although no one from the east coast will ever know where you went -- even though a lot of east coast kids go there. I majored in Anthropology with a minor in Art History. I then went on to study at Sotheby's and had a very success career in the auction business. Classes were challenging but I managed to combine work and play and did really well. I highly recommend you going there!

Though I'd rather go to Wesleyan myself, your lists there make it look like you prefer Wash U.

I would absolutely go to Wash U. It's better academically and you'll make a lot of new friends there.

I don't know what any of this means. The question is, where are you going? The choice is, in the end, up to you. I cannot tell you what do to, unless you're my prison bitch, which you are not. I think.
